Knurled double edge safety razor made from stabilized cherry

Double edge razors have regained popularity in recent times due to their extremely close shave, inexpensive operating costs and timeless design. This new design is actually a throwback to classic razors. the knurled bottom tip as well the extended neck harken back to the styles of the 1940's.

This particular razor was turned on my lathe by hand out of a piece of diseased cherry tree from my front yard. I stabilized it using Cactus Juice and polished it to a high shine. If properly taken care of, this razor will last a life time.
