Unique Steampunk pen made from dyed maple burl wood

This is one unique pen! The beautiful and elegant steampunk pens are very popular right now.

Steampunk items are a juxtaposition of futuristic themes and Victorian technology. In this pen, there are some cool accents. The steampunk pen has some really unique features, including a bolt action to advance the writing tip, a Gatling gun style body, hydraulic levers all topped off with a one of a kind body.

I made the body blank from a piece of maple burl that I stabilized and dyed with red dye. It really sets off the antique copper metal accents of the pen. The result is a truly unique pen that can never be replicated. A true custom, hand-made item.

The pen was turned on my lathe by hand and then polished to a high shine.
